The terms governing this website, donations, grants and our small published materials.

1. About the Trust

This website is operated by Eastham & District Welfare Trust, a charitable trust registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales under number 220017 and governed by its Scheme of 17 January 1984 (as amended in 1976, 1998 and 2018). Our registered office is Hockerills, Eastham, Tenbury Wells, WR15 8NW.

2. Use of this website

By using this website you agree to use it lawfully and not to interfere with its operation. The Trust accepts no liability for loss arising from your use of the website. We aim to keep the website available but we cannot guarantee it will be free from interruption.

3. Donations

All donations made to the Trust are accepted with gratitude and are governed by the following terms:

• Donations are processed by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) on our behalf. The Trust does not hold or process card details directly.
• Donations are non-refundable except where made in error (e.g. an unintended duplicate). Please ring 01584 781237 within 14 days to request a refund.
• Gift Aid claims are made on the basis of the declaration you provide at the time of donation. You may cancel a Gift Aid declaration at any time by writing to the Trust office.
• Where you specify a programme for your donation, we will make every reasonable effort to apply your gift to that programme. If the programme has no immediate need we will hold the donation in restricted reserves; we will write to you if we propose to redirect a restricted gift.

4. Grants and casework

Grants from the Trust are made at the discretion of the relevant trustee-led panel. Receipt of a grant does not entitle the recipient to any further grant. The Trust may at any time amend, suspend or close any of its grant programmes; we will provide reasonable notice on this website where we do so.

All casework conversations are confidential and held in accordance with our privacy policy. We will not share casework records with any third party without your written consent (except where required by law, such as a duty to safeguard a child or a vulnerable adult).

5. Volunteering

Volunteers are not employees of the Trust. Volunteer placements may be ended by either party at any time, for any reason. Volunteers are covered by the Trust's public liability and employers' liability insurance during their volunteer duties.

6. Intellectual property

The content of this website (including text, images, downloadable resources, the Trust's logo and the typography of its publications) is the copyright of Eastham & District Welfare Trust, unless otherwise stated. You are welcome to reproduce small extracts of text for non-commercial purposes, with attribution, provided the meaning is not distorted.

The phrase "Hockerills," used as our registered address, is reserved to the Trust by long use; we ask that it not be applied to any other organisation operating in the parish.

7. Links to external sites

This website contains links to external sites (the Charity Commission's register, the ICO, our payment processor and others). The Trust is not responsible for the content of external sites and does not endorse their products or services. Our linking does not imply any partnership unless explicitly stated.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

9. Updates to these terms

We review these terms every January. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent review. Material changes will be noted in our quarterly letter.
