Cookie Policy

A short cookie policy, because we do not use many of them.

Last reviewed 15 January 2025. If we change anything material, we will note it at the top of this page.

In one paragraph

This website does not use third-party tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, the Facebook pixel, or anything similar. We use a small number of first-party cookies for essential functionality only, and a privacy-respecting page-view counter (Plausible Analytics) that does not use cookies at all.

First-party cookies we do use

Three of them, all functional:

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, hosted on EU servers and run by an EU company. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect IP addresses, does not fingerprint your device, and does not share data with any third party. We can see, in aggregate, how many people visit each page of the website and which country they are visiting from. We cannot see who you are.

External services

When you donate, you are redirected to the Charities Aid Foundation's donation platform, which may set cookies on its own site. Their cookie policy applies there.

Embedded fonts are served from Google Fonts. Google Fonts may collect IP-level statistics; we have considered self-hosting fonts and may move to self-hosting in 2026.

Turning cookies off

You can refuse cookies altogether in your browser settings. The Trust website remains usable with cookies disabled, although form entries will not be remembered between page loads and the donation flow may require you to re-enter your chosen amount.
